Interdisciplinary Service Specialized in the Attention and Prevention of Violence against Women
As a feminist organization committed with the human rights of women, Mujeres al Oeste created an Interdisciplinary Service Specialized in the Attention and Prevention of Violence against Women
The Service is constituted by women formed in diverse disciplines and specialized in violence against women from a gender perspective.
The Service is offered with the conviction that the women that suffer violence in their everyday life need a space and a time to be listened with respect and without judgment. In this sense, the service aims to act as a support in their road to reconstruct their self-esteem, their emotional and physical health and their rights as people. The service also offers free legal advice and accompany them in the actions they decide to take to change their situation.
At the same time, the service enables them to share their stories and experiences of pain, fear and guilt with other women in order to jointly build a new way to relate to themselves and others.
This Service is a contribution to the eradication of violence against women, one of the central axes of the patriarch culture.
